Job Details

Box Office Assistant is responsible for delivering superior customer service to our Season Ticket Members and Barclays Center guests by executing on box office functions associated with VIP access. He/she will ensure all guests are satisfied with their Barclays Center experience, and are responsible for addressing special requests and responding to issues/complaints as they arise. The Box Office Assistant will work closely with the Manager, Event Hospitality and Tickets on a day-to-day basis.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
? Assist and execute box office functions associated with Season Ticket Members and Barclays Center guests
? Provide assistance in resolving customer service ticketing issues.
? Responsible for working Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders games
? Maintain professional level of appearance of self and others as well as box office working environment.
? Provide any further assistance as required under the direction of the Manager, Event Hospitality and Tickets.

Education and/or Experience
? Bachelor’s Degree required or in progress;
? 1-2 years experience in a customer service role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
? Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills;
? Strong verbal communication, interpersonal and listening skills;
? Must have strong problem solving skills;
? Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
? Must have a strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence;
? Must be self-directed and able to work independently;
? Must be a flexible and reliable team player, able to work late nights and weekends.

? None required.

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel Requirements
Infrequent Traveler (0-5% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a very limited basis.
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment
The incumbent primarily works in an arena environment and is required to attend Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders’ games as well as any other Barclays Center events taking place on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
