The Account Executive, Ticket Sales will be responsible for prospecting, pursuing, and developing group and premium ticket sale clients for the Long Island Nets and Nassau Coliseum. The incumbent must possess great energy, a strong sales background, and excellent communication skills. This position reports directly to the Director of Ticket Sales.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to Director, Ticket Sales & Service – Nassau Coliseum & Long Island Nets
Tasked with prospecting, pursuing and developing new business clients for group sales, Nassau Premium tickets plans, and Long Island Nets season plans.
Efforts include but are not limited to, cold calling, arena and out-of-office appointments, personal and event prospecting.
Assists Director with growing Long Island Nets ticket sales and Nassau Premium sales by leveraging creative concepts and theme nights for lead and sale generation.
Attends network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with potential clients and professional bodies.
Focuses on the fulfillment of ticket sales inventory by developing creative methods, such as premium and group packaging, theme nights, and other ticket sales drivers.
Contributes to any efforts, thoughts or actions used to boost overall revenue for the organization.
Assist in weekly reporting of sales activity.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required;
1-2 years of experience in Sales (preferably in Sports and Entertainment, ticket sales experience preferred)
A strong desire to work in the Sports and Entertainment industry
Must have advanced internet navigation skills as well as strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word software.

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS
moderate Traveler (25% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a very limited basis. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however, is expected to attend Long Island Nets games and other events at Nassau Coliseum/Barclays Center, which may include those on evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
